“Bowls of Connections” – A Solo Exhibition by Shinji Terauchi of Riso Porcelain
We are pleased to announce a solo exhibition featuring Shinji Terauchi, the head of the Arita ware manufacturer, Riso Porcelain. This exhibition highlights Terauchi’s role as a ceramic artist, featuring and selling one-of-a-kind pieces that he has meticulously handcrafted using a potter’s wheel. The theme of this exhibition, “Azuke-bachi” (sharing bowls), focuses on medium and large bowls created to be enjoyed both as functional tableware and as decorative art. Terauchi envisions these bowls as the centerpiece of the dining table, where people gather, converse, and connect—with each other and with their food. We invite you to visit and appreciate the works, created with the intention of fostering and cherishing moments of connection.
