HIROYUMI SUZUKI

Ceramic artist who was born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture and now living in Iga, Mie Prefecture. He started making pottery while he was studying at university and became independent in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture after the completion of training in Korea. He produces a variety of works using Shigaraki clay in the style of Kohiki (white slip), Hakeme (applying slip with a brush), Mishima (inlaying), and Yakishime (unglazed stoneware).
